Minnesota Supreme Court Rules in Case Involving Damages Exceeding Policy Limit

December 18, 2012

The Minnesota Supreme Court handed down an opinion in the Mattson Ridge v. Clear Rock Title case, which dealt with the question of whether and when an insured could obtain consequential damages in excess of the policy limits when there was a breach of contract for the improper denial of a claim.
