Agencies Issue Final Rule on Appraisals for Higher-priced Mortgages

January 22, 2013

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, along with five other federal financial regulatory agencies, issued the final rule that establishes new appraisal requirements for “higher-priced mortgage loans.” Read on for info about this rule as well as another new rule that requires lenders to provide consumers with free copies of all appraisals.
