Stewart Title Announces Leadership Transitions in Texas and New Mexico Offices
July 7, 2015
Stewart Title announced multiple transitions within leadership roles in offices located in both Texas and New Mexico.
In the Stewart Title New Mexico office, Jennifer Greenwood has been promoted to Albuquerque division president, previously serving as marketing manager. A 15-year Stewart associate, Greenwood currently oversees CFPB training and ALTA Best Practices efforts in the division. She fills the role formerly held by Glenn Schwerin.
Schwerin retired June 1 following 25 years of service. Under his leadership, the Albuquerque division tripled its market share, and was recognized by Albuquerque Business First’s Best Places to Work awards.
In addition, Mary Alice Lester, Fort Bend division president in Sugar Land, Texas, retired July 1 after 39 years of service. During Lester’s 19 years as division president she grew revenues to record breaking profits and margins keeping her division in the top five income producers for the company. She ended 2014 number one in profit margin and number two in pre-tax profit.
Current group vice president Larry Warren replaces Lester, becoming senior vice president and reporting to Steve Robison, Houston division president.
John Vachala, previously serving as operations senior manager in the Fort Bend office, transitioned into the group vice president role overseeing South Texas and New Mexico replacing Warren. Vachala reports to E.D. Lester.
Lee Person, division president for The Woodlands, Texas, retired at the end of April after 40 years of service. During her tenure the Montgomery County division has been recognized year after year for meeting Stewart’s Magnificent Managers criteria. Cynthia Kojak is currently serving as the acting manager, with a new division president to be announced at a later date.
"While we're seeing long-term leadership transition in our area, I know our new appointments will carry on the outstanding leadership and commitment to our customers," said E.D. Lester, group senior vice president, New Mexico, South and Central Texas, Arizona. "We appreciate our retirees' dedication, expertise and extensive knowledge. They have guided our Texas and New Mexico operations and set the stage for our future. We wish them the best in the next stages of their lives."
