Simplifile Expands Into Peoria County, Ill.
August 25, 2015
Peoria County, Ill., recently started implemented electronic recording of documents using Simplifile, web-based service.
“We have been waiting to e-record for over five years. We were unable to e-record with the software we had, so when the time came to acquire a new software vendor, e-recording was our guiding focus,” said Peoria County Chief Deputy Recorder Marsha Livers. “Our county has experienced budget constraints and is operating with a reduced workforce. E-recording was a logical means that would allow us to work smarter with less people.”
According to Livers, her office records over 300 different types of documents—the majority of which can be e-recorded.
With the addition of Peoria County, there are now 21 counties in Illinois that have adopted e-recording with Simplifile. Nationwide, more than 1,270 counties e-record with Simplifile.
