NAIC Elects 2017 President, Officers

Ted Nickel, the commissioner of insurance in Wisconsin, was elected by members of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) to serve as its 2017 president.
Nickel was appointed by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker as the state’s insurance commissioner in 2011.
NAIC also elected the following officers:
- President-Elect: Tennessee Insurance Commissioner Julie Mix McPeak
- Vice President: Maine Insurance Superintendent Eric A. Cioppa
- Secretary-Treasurer: Texas Insurance Commissioner David Mattax
The newly elected officers will assume their duties on Jan. 1, 2017.
