December 15, 2016

Simplifile, a provider of real estate document collaboration and recording technologies for lenders, settlement agents, and counties, announced the addition of eight Georgia counties and four Louisiana parishes to its electronic recording network.

“We are excited to see steady growth of e-recording adoption across Georgia and Louisiana, and we will continue to work with recording offices in these states to make e-recording available to more citizens,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “It’s our hope that one day, every jurisdiction will enjoy the benefits of a more efficient e-recording workflow as well as the savings that come with paperless recording and payment processing.”

The new jurisdictions are:

  • Bartow County, Ga.
  • Bleckley County, Ga.
  • Cherokee County, Ga.
  • Dawson County, Ga.
  • Echols County, Ga.
  • Madison County, Ga.
  • Polk County, Ga.
  • Talbot County, Ga.
  • Assumption Parish, La.
  • Evangeline Parish, La.
  • Iberia Parish, La.
  • Sabine Parish, La.

The first Georgia county joined Simplifile’s e-recording network in February 2013, while Louisiana’s first e-recording parish joined the network in August 2014. The company’s online e-recording service enables settlement agents to scan and submit land records directly to any of the 1,546 participating county recording offices.
