Mick Mulvaney Headlines ALTA Advocacy Summit
May 9, 2018
It doesn't get any bigger than this! Mick Mulvaney, acting director of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection and current director of the Office of Management and Budget, is scheduled to address attendees during the ALTA Advocacy Summit, May 21-23 in Washington, D.C. If you've been waiting for "a sign" to register for the Advocacy Summit, this is it!
In a January staff memo, Mulvaney laid out the Bureau's new governing philosophy. He said the Bureau works for everyone, including the companies it regulates, and the businesses regulated by the Bureau should have the right to know the rules before being charged. "This means more formal rulemaking on which financial institutions can rely, and less regulation by enforcement," the memo said. This is your chance to hear directly from Mulvaney how the Bureau's new mission and five-year strategic plan will alter the regulatory climate. Don't miss it!
