NATIC Names Underwriting Counsel for Southern States

April 21, 2020

North American Title Insurance Co. (NATIC) has hired Kelly Love as vice president and regional underwriting counsel for Texas, Louisiana and Alabama. Love will provide underwriting support to NATIC agents in those states.

“For our Southern region agents, Kelly has their perspective in mind, having worked a good part of his career in title agency offices,” said Valerie Jahn-Grandin, NATIC executive vice president and chief underwriting counsel. “Our underwriting team appreciates his fresh approach to title issues, and his enthusiasm for his role in underwriting is unmatched.”

Prior to joining NATIC, Love worked as in-house counsel for various Texas independent title agents, managing a wide range of issues, including commercial and residential closings, farm and ranch conveyances, title examinations, escrow procedures, risk management, regulatory compliance, claims processing and agency operations.

“While spending several years working as in-house counsel for independent title agents, I was able to experience many different roles within the title industry and gain a deep understanding of agents’ needs,” Love said. “I look forward to combining that knowledge with my underwriting skills to streamline the process for agents looking to close their transactions smoothly. I am thrilled to take this position at NATIC and join their exceptional underwriting community.”
