Your Gifts to the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation Support Local Communities
Have you heard the good news? The ALTA Good Deeds Foundation awarded 21 grants this month for a total of $125,000 to charitable organizations in local communities across the United States!
Twenty grants in the amount of $6,000 were awarded to charities supported by ALTA members across the country, ranging from the Second Harvest food bank network in Spokane, Wash., to the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland, Ohio, to H.O.M.E.S. Inc., a housing- and mortgage-assistance program in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. An additional $5,000 emergency grant was given to the Harper Volunteer Fire Department in Harper, Texas, to help fund the crisis response arising from the February 2021 severe winter storm. For a full list of the awardees, visit alta.org.
ALTA Good Deeds Foundation Board Chair Mary O’Donnell had the opportunity to award the emergency grant personally and found out a little more about where your money is going. Take a look at the video!
Without your gifts, we couldn’t have helped the residents of Harper, the homeless veterans of AMNACS Veteran Village in Sheridan, Wyo., or the families experiencing housing crises due to serious illness assisted by Spare Key in St. Paul, Minn.
As we get ready for another round of grants this summer, we look to the future and ask you to bless more neighborhoods through a gift to the Foundation. Your Good Deed will help grow a community near you.
Keep an eye on your mail for a special “thank you” from our hearts. Don’t forget, the Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your donation may be tax-deductible.
