Top 4 Reasons to Give to Good Deeds

Build a Legacy With the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation
What will your legacy be? ‘Tis the season of giving: By the end of the year, the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation hopes to raise $15,000 to provide grants to three additional nonprofits in 2024. Whether $5 or $500, your personal donation is guaranteed to make an impact. Here are the Top 4 reasons to give to the Foundation:
- This is YOUR foundation. The ALTA Good Deeds Foundation provides grants to community nonprofit organizations based on YOUR suggestions! The Foundation only considers grant applications submitted by title professionals, which means you and your peers have a hand in deciding where your financial gifts end up.
- Every donation makes an impact. The Foundation Board members are volunteers, and the Foundation has very little overhead. That means your donation—no matter the amount—is actually reaching the people and organizations that need it most!
- Enjoy a little tax relief. Because the Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your donation is likely tax deductible. Now is the time to maximize your charitable giving before the end of the year.
- You can help build a legacy. Virginia Ivey, a special education teacher, single mother and first-time homebuyer in Memphis, benefitted from a grant the Foundation gave to Convergence Memphis, a nonprofit that facilitates solutions to help bring racial equity to homeownership.
“I wanted to become a homeowner so that I can give something to my son, but also so that I could have something … to build a legacy,” she said. “That was my main driving force [in buying a home].”

Since its beginning in 2020, the Foundation has awarded $844,000 to 146 community charities in 41 states and the District of Columbia. Please consider donating today, and help the Foundation give #MoreIn24.
