The Docket: Alabama Supreme Court Allows Claims Against Seller’s Repair Company

August 27, 2024

Joe Powell, vice president and managing underwriting counsel for Fidelity National Title Group's Southeast National Commercial Services division, provided today’s review of a decision by the Alabama Supreme court that highlights the need for contractors and repair companies to review contract and warranty terms to reduce risks when working on homes in escrow. While this case doesn't involve a title claim, read on to learn why the decision is important to the title industry.
