Give the Gift of Hope During the Holidays
Together, we can bring hope home this holiday season.
Since its founding in 2020, the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation has delivered over $1.1 million in grants to nearly 200 nonprofits across the country. But we can’t do it without you. Thanks to your generosity, families have found shelter, food and basic necessities; communities have recovered from disasters; and countless lives have been touched.
This year, we’re spotlighting the incredible charities you’ve helped support. From food pantries to housing initiatives, your contributions are building brighter futures.
Crystal’s journey 
with Foothill Family Shelter in Upland, Calif., is a testament to resilience, transformation and the power of community. In July 2022, after a series of unexpected life changes, Crystal found herself with a teenage son, two young nieces and nowhere to turn. Acceptance into the shelter’s 120-day, rent-free housing program was the turning point that set her on the path to stability and success. Residents are required to save a minimum of 50% of their income in a trust account and engage in weekly case management, therapy, education and employment services to ensure they develop the tools for a sustainable and independent future.
With the guidance of her case manager and resources provided by the shelter, Crystal not only found stability but also flourished. Over the course of her stay, she transformed her financial habits, learning to budget and save. In less than two years, she managed to raise her credit score to an impressive 760 and save $20,000—an achievement that once seemed impossible. Crystal also completed her bachelor’s degree and graduated with honors.
“With each family's success story, we are reminded of the incredible strength and resilience of those we serve,” said Deanna Alsdorf, community development coordinator for the Foothill Family Shelter. “The support from the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation has been instrumental in allowing us to continue providing these life-changing services.”
