ALTA Updates Three TIRS State Compliance Guides

ALTA’s TIRS State Compliance Guides contain state-by-state regulatory and local practice material for entities establishing real estate title and closing operations. This resource is available for all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Updates were recently made to the guides for Alabama, Arizona and Missouri.
- Alabama: Made multiple updates to specific sections of statutes and codes, and changes related to real estate practices, and other areas. Editor of the Alabama TIRS is Price Evans, vice president and commercial underwriting counsel at Old Republic National Title Insurance Co.
- Arizona: Updated foreign investment on real property, NTRAPS, and uniform Unlawful restrictions in land records. The section “Interest on Deposited Funds Regulations” as well as the attachment. Editor of the Arizona TIRS is Tyler Newlon of Pioneer Title Agency Inc.
- Missouri: There were multiple updates to specific sections of statutes throughout the guide; there were edits to the Good Funds law, foreclosure requirements, foreign ownership regarding agricultural property and the Judicial Privacy Act. Editor of the Missouri TIRS is Kara B. Elgin, underwriting counsel at Alliance National Title Insurance Agency LLC.
