CFPB Releases ‘Humility Pledge’ for Supervision and Examinations
November 25, 2025

The bureau framed the pledge as a corrective response to what it described as overly aggressive tactics under its previous leadership. These tactics, the CFPB said, made supervision feel less like a compliance exercise and more like a “weaponized arm” of enforcement.
