ALTA, Texas Land Title Association Back Challenge to FinCEN Reporting Rule

The briefs, filed Oct. 23 with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, support Flowers Title Companies LLC in its case against the U.S. Department of the Treasury and FinCEN. FinCEN is appealing the March 19 decision by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, which granted Flowers’ motion for summary judgment, denied the government’s motion for summary judgment and ordered the Residential Real Estate Reporting Rule vacated.
