ALTA Applauds Senate Banking Committee on ROAD to Housing Act of 2025
Washington, D.C., July 29, 2025 – The American Land Title Association (ALTA) has made the following statement in regards to the ROAD to Housing Act of 2025:
ALTA applauds the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs for its bipartisan leadership in advancing this critical housing legislation. The title industry has a longstanding history of safeguarding property rights and ensuring the integrity of real estate transactions and appreciates the leadership of Chairman Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and Ranking Member Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in making housing a priority with advancement of the ROAD to Housing Act of 2025.
"We welcome the opportunity to work with lawmakers and stakeholders to help advance the goals of this bipartisan housing bill," said ALTA CEO Chris Morton. "By addressing supply issues and expanding access to homeownership opportunities, this legislation supports the foundational American dream of homeownership."
