ALTA Honors Mississippi Member with National Title Professional Recognition

Washington, D.C., Feb. 20, 2025 — George Haymans NTP has earned the National Title Professional (NTP) designation from the American Land Title Association (ALTA), the national trade association of the land title insurance industry. Formally acknowledged with the NTP designation on Sept. 1, 2024, Haymans is one of 119 leaders across the United States who have devoted their careers to the land title industry and earned their designation. Haymans is the first attorney who lives and practices in Mississippi to receive the NTP designation.

The designation recognizes land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property.*

"Earning the National Title Professional designation is a mark of excellence in the title industry, and George Haymans has demonstrated the knowledge, dedication and leadership that this honor represents," said ALTA President Richard Welshons MTP, NTP. "His years of experience, commitment to advancing the title industry in Mississippi and passion for the field make him an outstanding addition to the ranks of NTP designees. I congratulate George on this well-earned recognition and encourage others to follow his lead in pursuing this designation."

A real estate and corporate law attorney and title agent, Haymans is the founder of Mississippi Title Group LLC and partner of Haymans & Company PLLC, both based in Oxford, Miss. Haymans is a member of the American Land Title Association, the Southeast Land Title Association and the Land Title Association of Mississippi. Additionally, Haymans has served on committees for several organizations related to the land title industry, including the Home Builders Association of Mississippi, Mortgage Bankers Association of Mississippi and the Mississippi Bar Association. Haymans has closed more than $4 billion in real property transactions since 2012.

“I wanted to find a way to become a student of title, condominium law, real estate transactions and other matters pertinent to both my developer/builder clients and individual homebuyers throughout the state,” Haymans said. “I have been working on the qualifications since pre-Covid and wanted to stand out as a leader and champion of title matters in Mississippi. Whether tackling complicated condominium projects, hospital transactions or multi-family developments, the skills and education learned during the NTP designation process give me the confidence to assist my clients in all facets of the real estate closing process.”
