ALTA Honors Missouri Member with National Title Professional Recognition
WASHINGTON, D.C., Sept. 25, 2024 — Ashley Matejek MTP, NTP has earned her National Title Professional (NTP) designation from the American Land Title Association (ALTA), the national trade association of the land title insurance industry. Formally acknowledged with her NTP designation on Sept. 1, Matejek is one of 119 leaders across the United States who have devoted their careers to the land title industry and earned their designation.
The designation recognizes land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property.*
“‘National Title Professional’ is a recognition bestowed upon only the most knowledgeable and committed title insurance professionals,” said ALTA President Don Kennedy. “ALTA members earning their designation must undergo a vigorous audit and demonstrate extensive experience in and dedication to the title insurance industry. Ashley has been a title professional for more than 20 years, which in itself is an achievement. Her leadership, expertise and ability to adapt made her an ideal candidate for the NTP designation. I hope other title insurance professionals follow her lead and aim for this achievement.”
A member of the title insurance community since 2002, Matejek is the president of Wiles Abstract & Title Co., Inc. in West Plains, Mo. Matejek also serves on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Land Title Association (MLTA), currently in the role of Acting President, as well as the association’s Membership and Finance committees. She earned the Missouri Title Professional designation in 2019.

Formally acknowledged with the NTP designation on Feb. 1, 2025, Wehrle is one of 120 leaders across the United States who have devoted their careers to the land title industry and earned their designation.

"Earning the National Title Professional designation is a mark of excellence in the title industry, and Susan has demonstrated the knowledge, dedication and leadership that this honor represents," said ALTA President Richard Welshons MTP, NTP. "Her years of experience, commitment to volunteering for the Missouri Land Title Association (MLTA) and passion for the industry make her an outstanding addition to the ranks of NTP designees. President of Title Partners Agency LLC in St. Louis, Mo., Wehrle began her career as a closing assistant in 1993. A long-time MLTA member and volunteer, Wehrle is chair of the MLTA Scholarship Committee, co-chair of the MLTA Membership Committee and a previous member of the MLTA Convention Committee. Wehrle also earned the Missouri Title Professional (MTP) designation in 2023 and the ALTA Homeowner Outreach Program (HOP) Leader Certification in 2016.
