The Florida Association of Realtors announced all its members now can participate in Internet Data Exchange of MLS listings online at no cost, thanks to agreements between the association and every MLS in the state.

The agreements enable the Orlando-based Realtor?s group to work directly with brokers and, in some instances, sales associates in placing property listings from local MLSs onto broker and agent Web sites.

Florida Realtors can select an IDX service online through the association?s Planet Realtor Web site.

"Local boards and MLSs quickly realized the value of FAR's cost-effective IDX solutions and didn't hesitate to rely on FAR to make IDX available to FAR's 10,000-plus member firms," said 2001 FAR President Don Asher, broker/owner of Don Asher and Associates in Orlando.

"FAR's experience in Internet- based technology makes it uniquely qualified to bring online real estate marketing to the local level," Asher said.

The Florida Association of Realtors has 70,000 members in 71 local realty boards.
