State Housing Finance Agency Approves 41 Projects For Grants, Loans, Tax Credits

The Missouri Housing Development Commission approved 41 affordable housing developments for funding during its monthly meeting in Kansas City today.

The developments were selected from a list of 129 projects proposed by private and nonprofit housing developers. The developments will receive more than $18 million in federal HOME loans and grants, almost $7 million in Missouri Housing Development Commission loans and nearly $9.8 million in Federal and state low-income housing tax credits. More than $6 million of the funding was provided to nonprofit community housing development organizations.

Funding was allocated for development or rehabilitation of 1619 units of affordable rental housing in Bernie, Carthage, Chillicothe, Concordia, Dexter, Farmington, Hillsboro, Jefferson City, Joplin, Kansas City, Marshfield, Monett, Neosho, Oak Grove, Owensville, Pattonsburg, Perryville, Rolla, Springfield, St. Joseph, St. Louis city, St. Louis county, Trenton, Troy and West Plains.
