LendingTree To Offer Airline Frequent Flyer Miles

Inman News Features

LendingTree (Nasdaq: TREE) today announced partnerships with Delta Air Lines, US Airways, Northwest Airlines and Continental Airlines to offer mileage incentives to consumers who conduct lending and real estate transactions online.

To earn miles, consumers access a co-branded LendingTree Web site, where they can fill out a loan request or initiate a real estate transaction with one of the real estate agents on the LendingTree RealtyServices network.

Borrowers can earn 1,250 miles in a participating airline's frequent flyer program for every $10,000 transacted for a mortgage, home equity line or auto loan. Home buyers in most states can net 3,000 miles for every $10,000 of a home sales or purchase price.

LendingTree, founded in 1996, is an online lending exchange that connects consumers, lenders and related service providers. The LendingTree exchange is made up of more than 140 banks, lenders and brokers and has facilitated nearly $18 billion in closed loans.
