Landata Systems Recognized With Seven Marketing Awards

HOUSTON - The Landata Systems marketing team was honored with seven new awards from four marketing organizations in May and June. The company received awards for its "Trust Your Instincts" jungle campaign and e-Outlook(TM) electronic monthly newsletter. These awards bring the total to 17 received for the jungle campaign since its introduction in 2000. The e-Outlook newsletter has won five awards in the past 18 months.

American Marketing Association (AMA)

In May, the Houston chapter of the AMA hosted its 16th Annual Crystal Awards. The competition received more than 150 entries in 31 categories. The Landata Systems "Trust Your Instincts" jungle booth was awarded top honors - the Crystal Award - in the trade show display category. The e-Outlook monthly newsletter received a Certificate of Excellence in the e-mail newsletter category.

The AMA is the world's largest professional society of marketers, with more than 45,000 members in 500 chapters throughout North America and 92 countries worldwide. The Houston Chapter of the AMA was organized as the Houston Business Forum in 1949 and affiliated with the AMA in 1954. Members include marketing professionals, educators and students. The chapter sponsors meetings, workshops and seminars for members and other professionals in the Houston area.

Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)

The PRSA Houston chapter held its annual Excalibur for Excellence Awards in June, presenting awards in 55 categories. Landata Systems was awarded a Silver Excalibur Award in the trade show category for its "Trust Your Instincts" jungle campaign trade show booth.

PRSA is the world's largest organization for public relations professionals. The Society's almost 20,000 members represent business and industry, counseling firms, government, associations, hospitals, schools, professional services firms and nonprofit organizations.

International Association of Business Communicators (IABC)

Also in June, the IABC Houston chapter held its annual Bronze Quill awards with more than 150 entries in 28 categories. Landata Systems received two Awards of Merit: one in the category of internal/external program or campaign (for-profit) for its "Trust Your Instincts" jungle campaign; and one in the category of electronic newsletters for its e-Outlook monthly newsletter.

IABC is a learning community of 13,000 professionals. Members of 120 chapters worldwide are committed to improving the effectiveness of organizations through strategic communication. The Bronze Quill Awards are local awards honoring excellence in organizational communication. The annual competition hosted by the Houston chapter is open to all Houston professionals.

Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX(R))

At the 14th Annual Awards for Publication Excellence, a Competition for Communications Professionals, held in June, the jungle campaign and e-Outlook were both selected as winners of the APEX Award of Excellence. The Landata Title Office Jungle Campaign received its award in the marketing and public relations campaigns category. e-Outlook received its award in the newsletters - online and electronic category. The winners were selected from almost 5,900 entries in 11 major categories and 100 subcategories.

APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. The APEX Awards are sponsored by Communications Concepts, a service company that helps publishing, public relations and marketing professionals improve publications and communication programs. The panel of judges included two publication editors and a former professor of journalism from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
