Commerce Title Names Executive Vice President of Operations

DALLAS /PRNewswire/ -- Commerce Title, Inc., a subsidiary of Centex Corporation (NYSE: CTX - News), announced R. Wayne Norton has been promoted to Executive Vice President. He assumes responsibility for the company's title operations nationwide.

Mr. Norton most recently served as President of Commerce Title's Central Region and came from National Corporate Marketing, Inc., a family owned business where he was President. His previous experience includes more than 20 years in the title industry, most recently as President of Texas Operations for Fidelity National Title. He began his career at Stewart Title in Dallas, where he progressed from a management trainee to an escrow officer and was a top producer for four out of five years, before he was promoted to Vice President of Branch Operations.

Mr. Norton earned a B.B.A. from Hardin Simmons University and is a past president of the Dallas County Land Title Association and former board member of the Texas Land Title Association and Texas Underwriters Association.
