AIM for Windows 4.1 Offers SureClose Integration, Other Efficiency Features Visit Stewart at ALTA® Tech 2003 for Demonstration

March 7, 2003

HOUSTON - Landata Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Information Services Corp. (NYSE-STC), will demonstrate AIM(R) for Windows(R) 4.1 at the 2003 ALTA Tech Forum. The latest version of AIM for Windows offers integration with Stewart's SureClose(R) transaction management system, plus other features to increase efficiency and improve customer service. Landata Systems and Stewart will exhibit in booth 400 at the convention March 9-11 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

SureClose Integration
The SureClose transaction management system gives all parties to a real estate transaction -- including sellers or refinance customers, buyers, real estate agents and brokers, builders, lenders, title agents and other settlement service providers -- access to the latest data through a secure, password-protected Web site, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Title agents use the AIM for Windows production system to create the closing documents that are accessed by these parties through SureClose.

With integration between the programs, order information electronically exports from AIM for Windows to SureClose, populating the appropriate SureClose fields. AIM for Windows uses the AIM Extract Router to transport and transform data for electronic SureClose access. It also provides confirmations of orders sent and received.

In addition, the integration will provide for the automatic flow of AIM for Windows documents and association with the proper files in SureClose.

David Busch, executive vice president for Home Abstract and Title Company in Waco, Texas, participated as a beta test site for AIM for Windows 4.1.

"We anticipate a major increase in efficiencies," Busch said. "With such a seamless process, we're going to be able to more efficiently use our staff resources."

"The way that we integrate automation in our business is drastically changing," he said. "Though one technology by itself can provide many benefits, when you use all available automation in concert, the benefits become unlimited. Companies that let the technology pass them by will eventually see their market share slip away."

Other New Features
In addition to providing integration with SureClose, AIM for Windows 4.1 offers other new features to help increase efficiency.

  • Ability to create multiple HUD templates based on lender/customer requirements. The user can select the desired template upon entering the closing module.
  • Addition of 14 new standard reports, including two escrow accounting reports and 12 management reports. (Read about the reports at: www.landatasystems.com/lsc20/pubs/outlook/feb2003/afw_standard.htm
  • Enhancements to the Closing and Escrow Accounting modules.

AIM for Windows 4.1 is a SQL release, available as a stand-alone application or can be accessed on the Internet via Titlelogix(R), Stewart's Managed Solutions Partner (MSP) service.
