Patrick Hartford Re-Elected Vice Chairperson of MISMO's eMortgage Workgroup

March 6, 2006

Patrick Hartford has been re-elected vice chairperson of the MISMO(R) eMortgage Workgroup. Hartford is a senior business analyst for Wolters Kluwer Financial Services and specializes in the mortgage arena. He was elected to this leadership position for a second consecutive year by the eMortgage Workgroup, which is composed of more than 250 individuals from prominent industry organizations.

During his second term as vice chairperson, Hartford will continue to help direct the group's work and its meetings. With more than a decade of experience in the development of mortgage forms automation, Hartford has become an influential voice in the industry's eMortgage dialogue. In addition to leading classes on eMortgage technology for the Mortgage Bankers Association's (MBA) CampusMBA, he has been a contributor to the eMortgage Workgroup since joining soon after it was established in 2001.

The eMortgage Workgroup was created by MISMO to undertake the development of a complete electronic mortgage, which encompasses the originating, underwriting, closing, and delivering of loans -- with digital signatures -- to investors in a paperless format.

"We congratulate Patrick on his re-appointment to vice chairperson of the eMortgage Workgroup," said John Bryant, senior vice president of banking for Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, "and we are pleased to contribute to the advancement of this important industry effort." In his role as senior business analyst with Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, Hartford acts as a liaison between the company's marketing and development teams. In this role, he identifies and interprets customers' needs and develops technical requirements to ensure products meet those specifications.

Hartford's achievements include playing an integral role in the development of the company's SMART Doc(TM) eNote, which recently became the first e-note to be purchased by Freddie Mac through an eMortgage transaction.
