Matthew Morris Named to Stewart Title Guaranty Board of Directors

HOUSTON-- May 10, 2006--Matthew W. Morris, senior vice president for planning and development, Stewart Information Services Corp., has been named to the Stewart Title Guaranty Co. board of directors, replacing his grandfather Carloss Morris, who passed away Nov. 17, 2005. The elder Morris had served on the Stewart Title Guaranty board for more than 50 years.

"We are pleased to have Matt Morris join the board of our lead underwriter, as he is a key leader for several service centers, profit centers and initiatives of the company," said Stewart Morris Jr., chairman of the board, Stewart Title Guaranty Co. "His energy and guidance will propel Stewart Title Guaranty Co. forward to new successes."

Matthew Morris joined Stewart in 2004. In his professional career, he has held roles in finance, marketing and operations, utilizing a broad base of knowledge gathered across industry lines to encourage integrated strategies and innovation.

Within Stewart, Morris oversees mergers and acquisitions, multicultural markets, specialty insurance and marketing and communications. He works within the company's many business areas to evaluate strategies and initiatives, enhance business processes, and strengthen Stewart's leadership position in the title insurance, transaction management and real estate information industries.

He earned a BBA from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from The University of Texas.
