Landamerica Names M. Parker Myers Senior Vice President – Technology Resource

RICHMOND, VA - LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: LFG) announced that M. Parker Myers has joined the Company as Senior Vice President – Technology Resources. Myers leads the development and execution of strategic initiatives supporting LandAmerica operations in the areas of project management, process improvement, and acquisition logistics. He is based in Richmond, Virginia.

Myers comes to LandAmerica after serving as Vice President – Corporate Development for UPS Freight (formerly Overnite Transportation) and before that for Trigon Insurance, leading strategic growth initiatives and major business and post-merger integrations for both companies. His career has also seen him fill leadership positions for McKinsey & Company and Andersen Consulting.

“We are delighted that an executive with Parker’s track record has chosen to continue his career at LandAmerica,” said Richard P. Gonzalez, Executive Vice President – Chief Information Officer. “His leadership will help maximize the efficiency and security of all LandAmerica information and communication systems, contributing to the delivery of superior service to our customers across the country and beyond.”

Myers received his master of science degree in management and his master of science degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia.
