RESPA Rule Overview Presented at the Small Agents & Abstracters Forum,
March 21-22, 2009, Indianapolis, IN

February 10, 2009

One of the most important pieces of regulation that has impacted the industry is the new RESPA Rules governing the Settlement Statement and Truth-in-Lending Forms. To be presented by a leading industry and legal expert, this session is exclusively for small and medium-size agents and abstracters.  Attendees will be given an in-depth overview of the practical implications of how the new regulations may impact how you conduct real estate closings and identify other important compliance rules. There is no registration fee to attend the event, but all expenses are bill-backed to each participant on a pro-rata basis (excluding the Saturday Night dinner). REGISTER TODAY by visiting www.alta.org/meetings/smallagents.  Hotel reservations must be made by February 28, 2009 in order to take advantage of the guaranteed ALTA discounted room rates. Questions may be directed to Miriam Hankins, Director of Membership and Marketing at 202-261-2943 or mhankins@alta.org.
