Baseball Hall of Famer to Speak at Business Strategies Luncheon

As player, coach, scout, manager, general manager, director of player development and executive vice president, Herzog served baseball in more capacities than any other person. His career of more than three decades is truly unparalleled. Herzog was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in December 2009, and will be enshrined in July.

Herzog led the Kansas City Royals and the St. Louis Cardinals to six trips to the post-season resulting in six division titles, three National League pennants, and one World Championship with St. Louis in 1982. Whitey helped shape the careers of some of baseball's best including George Brett, Ozzie Smith, Frank White, Darrell Porter, Jack Clark and Willie McGee. Herzog has been the recipient of several awards, including Man of the Year, Manager of the Year and Manager of the Decade by Sport's Illustrated.

After retiring, he co-authored his popular autobiography with journalist Kevin Horrigan titled, White Rat: A Life In Baseball. In his most recent book, You're Missing a Great Game: From Casey to Ozzie, the Magic of Baseball and How to Get It Back, Whitey shares his unique perspective on the state of baseball.
