ALTA’s TIPAC Making Strides to Pass 2010 Goal

Some of the efforts fueled by TIPAC contributions include working to limit the authority of the proposed financial reform legislation on the title insurance industry; efforts to ban private transfer fees (also known as Wall Street Resale Fees); urging Congress to extend the June 30 closing deadline for homebuyers eligible for the $8,000 federal income tax credit; pushing Congress to reauthorize the National Flood Insurance Program; working with the NAIC on the proposed national agent data call.
