Senate Bill Would Require Lenders to Consider Home Energy Costs in Underwriting Process

A bipartisan bill introduced in the Senate would require lenders to consider a home’s energy costs, along with the traditional principal, interest, taxes and insurance calculations, in the standard mortgage underwriting process.
