Boise-based Title Company Announces Compliance With Audit Standards

October 24, 2013

Boise-based TitleOne announced it has successfully completed an independent audit for statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16.

Previously called SAS 70, SSAE 16 is a widely recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). SSAE 16 verifies that a company has been through an in-depth audit of its control objectives and activities to ensure the safety and security of its customer data. Specific objectives of this audit address availability, customer support, change management, database security, data backup, systems availability, monitoring of network security and Logical Access Network (LAN).

"Voluntarily completing the audit for SSAE 16 requirements reflects our continued commitment to excellence in operations," said Mark Tidd, president for TitleOne. "This reinforces to our customers that we have the highest standards of processes, controls and procedures in place ensuring security and privacy of their confidential data."
