ALTA Board Member receives October Research 2014 Leadership Award

June 10, 2014

Described as “one of the most important voices in the title industry,” ALTA board member John Hollenbeck received October Research’s 2014 Leadership Award during the 10th Annual National Settlement Services Summit in New Orleans.

Hollenbeck, executive vice president and business director of First American Title Insurance Co., was humbled for receiving the award and recognition.

“I appreciate October Research and its contributions to our industry,” Hollenbeck said. “It’s through effective communication that settlement agents everywhere will acquire the information they need to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.”

Hollenbeck has become an expert in a variety of title-related areas during his 34 years in the industry. As a member of ALTA’s Best Practices Task Force, Hollenbeck was a key contributor to the development of the association’s Best Practices, which were developed to help members highlight policies and procedures the industry exercises to protect lenders and consumers, while ensuring a positive and compliant real estate settlement experience.

Hollenbeck has been a title searcher, relief title officer, assistant production supervisor, searching supervisor, advising title officer, underwriter, chief information officer and executive vice president of corporate technology, among other roles.
