Futura Title Achieves SSAE 16 and Best Practices Certification

August 30, 2016

Idaho-based Futura Title & Escrow Corp. and its subsidiaries, Alliance Title & Escrow Corp. and AmeriTitle, Inc., successfully completed the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 exam.

The SSAE 16 is an industry-recognized auditing standard instituted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Settlement service companies that receive SSAE 16 certification have been attested by an independent third-party CPA firm to the soundness of their information technology and network security, operational procedures and risk assessment control activities and objectives in protecting consumer data.

In their efforts to meet and exceed ALTA’s Title and Settlement Company Best Practices, the Futura Title family of companies determined that the SSAE 16 audit would provide a supplemental layer of protection for their lender clients and consumers. The audit was performed by the independent third party CPA firm A-LIGN. In addition to receiving SSAE 16 certification, the companies were confirmed and certified as ALTA Best Practices compliant.

Alliance Title has 27 branch operations throughout Idaho and parts of Montana, Washington and Wyoming. AmeriTitle has 42 operations serving most of Oregon as well as parts of Idaho and Washington. Both brands serve 60 counties.
