ATA National Title Group Achieves SOC 1 Type 2 Certification for Data Protection

ATA National Title Group LLC announced that it has received its Service Organization Controls (SOC) 1 – Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16 (SSAE 16) – Type 2 certification. This certification focuses upon ATA’s operational controls. Its data center already has an independent SOC 2 certification.
“Obtaining the SOC 1 Type 2 certification further demonstrates ATA’s commitment to our customers and providing a high level of service,” said William L. Robinson Jr., ATA president. “We are proud to have completed this rigorous assessment, as it’s a testament to the policies and procedures we have implemented to protect our lender partners and consumers.”
The SSAE 16 SOC 1 certification process examines and reports on internal controls within the business to ensure the integrity of data and protection of non-public information (NPI). The examination was conducted by A-LIGN, a nationwide security and compliance solutions provider, in accordance with the American Land Title Association (ALTA) Best Practices Framework. A-LIGN is part of the ALTA Elite Provider Program, which is comprised of premier service providers promoting the highest industry standards and effective solutions for the title insurance and settlement service industry.
