Cybersecurity Expert Launches SAFE

April 20, 2017

In effort to help title and settlement companies with their security programs, Matt Froning has launched Florida-based Security Assurance Facilitation Experts (SAFE), which offers cyber, network and physical security-related services.

“Cybersecurity is the number one concern for agents today,” Froning said. “Tens of thousands of dollars can be diverted to cyber thieves with the click of the mouse, but unfortunately many agents have not taken the necessary steps to protect the business they have worked so hard to build. Identifying attack vectors, tightening security gaps, and training employees combine to mitigate agents’ risk and prevent security breaches. It is also vitally important that your security team understands your operations and work flow to ensure security assessments are thorough and your business is SAFE from attack.”

SAFE offers scalable services to single operations and national agency operations, including

  • fractional CIO/CISO services for agents that want monthly valuations and consulting services
  • vulnerability assessments
  • penetration testing
  • website application testing
  • social engineering assessments
  • risk assessments

Froning has more than 20 years of experience in the information security industry. He developed information security assessment processes that included guidelines and reports aligned with regulatory and ALTA Best Practices.  He is a national certified subject matter expert and has been a featured speaker at more than 50 underwriter, state land title association and other industry events over the past five years.

Froning has supported the U.S. Air Force and the federal government, as both an active duty member and federal contractor. He has led technical assessments, evaluations and integration of multiple complex network warfare products capabilities critical to the Air Force’s network operation mission. A former commissioned officer in the Air Force, Froning was a federal agent and the chief of computer investigations and operations for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations where he was responsible for investigating, managing and directing the investigation of computer related criminal, counterintelligence, counterespionage, fraud and undercover matters.
