North American Title Co. Expands Identity Theft Program for Customers

August 31, 2017

North American Title Co. (NATC) has expanded its arrangement with AllClear ID for home buyers, sellers and refinance customers who close with the company. The new AllClear Proactive Benefit Program still includes identity repair, and has now expanded to include identity theft and credit monitoring, backed by $1 million identity theft insurance. The program is offered to NATC customers at no cost for 12 months after closing.

"We began the original program with AllClear ID in 2014, and its success has encouraged us to expand it with these new offerings," said Tom Fischer, president of North American Title Group, NATC's parent company.

"North American Title has a three-pronged strategy to protect our customers," Fischer added. "First, we have worked at all levels to institute strict procedures to handle our customers' nonpublic personal information. This effort was recognized by our earning the ALTA Best Practices Certification in 2016 from Aprio, an independent accounting firm. Second, in addition to our escrow and closing services, we offer title insurance policies at closing to protect the homeownership rights of our home buyer customers.”

When closing at NATC, access to the AllClear Identity Repair program is automatic for home buyers, sellers and refinance customers and provided at no charge for one year. If a customer's identity is stolen within the first 12 months after closing with NATC, they will work with AllClear ID to restore their credit and recover their losses. AllClear's Identity Theft and Credit Monitoring requires enrollment with AllClear ID to begin the process of activating phone alerts and monitoring options.
