Simplifile Expands E-recording Network in Florida

Simplifile announced it has started offering e-recording with Collier County, Fla.

Collier County joins 52 other Florida counties that also offer e-recording through Simplifile.

“Collier Recording Department is pleased to add Simplifile to our e-recording accounts,” said Dwight E. Brock, Collier County clerk of the circuit court and comptroller. We believe their addition will considerably increase our e-recording numbers, resulting in greater efficiency to recording clients as well as the clerk.”

Local title company Cottrell Title & Escrow was the first to e-record in Collier County using Simplifile’s service.

“For years, the Cottrell Closing Experience has utilized Simplifile’s e-recording platform while conducting transactions in almost every county in the state of Florida,” said James P. Schlimmer, managing partner of Cottrell Title & Escrow. “We are thrilled to be able to offer this service to clients in our hometown county of Collier. Through Simplifile’s integration with ResWare, we are one step closer to redefining the closing experience for clients in Southwest Florida. This integration has made the e-recording process fully automated inside our organization. Clients are amazed that they can receive their recorded documents and executed title policies back in only a couple of hours. We love hearing our clients say that they expected this part of the process to take a month or more.”
