Agents National Title Appoints Southwest Underwriting Counsel

Agents National Title Insurance Company (ANTIC) appointed Mickey Gerdes as southwest Underwriting counsel.

Based in San Antonio, Gerdes will be charged with underwriting for ANTIC’s agency base in the state.

“Mickey brings a drive, enthusiasm and commitment to success that will be of tremendous benefit to our agents,” said David Townsend NTP, president of ANTIC. “He is a wonderful asset for us and our agents. We are very fortunate to have him leading our underwriting operations in such a key market.”

Prior to joining ANTIC, Gerdes served as commercial title officer for First American Title Insurance Co. Before that, Gerdes maintained a real estate law practice. He has practiced law for over 15 years.

“I am very happy to be a part of the Agents National family,” Gerdes said. “The company’s focus on technology, process improvement and education as well as its ‘agents only, agents first’ philosophy are unmatched in the industry. I am excited to be charged with underwriting in Texas and assisting with expanding the Agents National presence in Texas. I am confident our innovative approach to the title insurance business and focus on assisting agents will be well received.”
