Old Republic Names General Counsel

November 21, 2019

Kevin R. Chiarello has joined Old Republic National Title Holding Co. as executive vice president and general counsel.

He also joins the company’s executive leadership team.

Chiarello has been an attorney for 33 years. Prior to joining Old Republic Title, he was division counsel for another national title insurance underwriter, where he began working in 1996. Before his career in the title insurance industry, he was a partner at a Los Angeles-based law firm, where he was a trial lawyer for 10 years.

Chiarello’s legal and extensive title industry expertise perfectly suit him to oversee the functions of Old Republic Title’s Claims, Litigation and Contract Management Division, led by Elaine Layton, senior vice president and deputy general counsel; as well as the Regulatory Division, led by Ted Conner, senior vice president and deputy general counsel.

Active in several industry organizations, Chiarello is the immediate past president of the California Land Title Association. He has been a member of the California Bar Association since 1985 and was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Central District of California in 1987.
