Realogy Title Group Reports 200 Percent Growth in Digital Closings Using RON

September 23, 2020

Realogy Title Group reported a 200 percent increase in adoption of digital closings using remote online notarization (RON) in the first six months of 2020 when compared to all of 2019.

Realogy Title Group partners with Notarize, which provides the RON software platform, to make the closing process fully digital and smoother for its approximately 400 closing and escrow officers and their customers. The coronavirus pandemic has served as a catalyst for adoption of RON as the only viable solution for a secure, remote, same-day closing transaction.

“We have always sought innovative technology to deliver the best experience for the real estate agents, mortgage lenders, and consumers we serve,” said Don Casey, president and CEO of Realogy Title Group. “We recognized the potential of the Notarize platform and have worked with their team to tackle the legal and technical barriers to RON. Notarize has seamlessly integrated multiple components of the closing process and delivered a smooth, convenient solution to make it faster and easier. The increase in demand for digital closings has been significant during the pandemic, and the customer feedback we’ve received has been a phenomenal endorsement.”

Realogy Title Group partners with Realogy franchise brands and brokerage offices as well as mortgage lender Guaranteed Rate Affinity, to provide clients a seamless real estate experience, while optimizing productivity and profit. Notarize provides the infrastructure to connect the various customer touchpoints, enhancing the process from start to finish.

“Realogy Title Group has always been committed to understanding and incorporating cutting-edge technology that will match the quality of their talented team members,” said Pat Kinsel, CEO of Notarize. “Buyers and sellers have been asking for ways to reduce the time, stress and costs involved when they shop for, research, buy and close on homes. Collectively, our digital solution addresses those pain points and is transforming the entire experience. It’s a welcome improvement.”

All Realogy Title Group business units in the 37 states that have approved RON utilize the Notarize platform. In the remaining 13 states, the company offers hybrid options, enabling its 400 closers to access the platform for efficient, contactless closings.

“We have seen particularly strong demand for RON in Texas and Florida in recent months, as well as increased popularity among corporate relocation business,” Casey said. “As virtually every household and business has been forced to change behavior and operations, digital solutions that provide agility and flexibility are critical to closing deals. Together with Notarize, we have been able to meet our customers’ needs and surpass expectations.”
