Knight Barry Title (KBT) will now have 15 offices in Florida following the complete of two additional acquisitions.

The Wisconsin-based title company entered the Orlando market with the acquisition of Closing Boutique’s two offices in Clermont and Mount Dora. The second deal with give Knight Barry Title its fourth office in South Florida. The acquisition of Home Title America in West Palm Beach will become official next month.

Joining Knight Barry Title represents a new chapter for Sandy Lawson, who founded Closing Boutique in 2011. Lawson and her staff will remain with Knight Barry Title.

“We are always talking about how important our people are to making Knight Barry Title special, which includes the team members we bring on as part of any acquisition,” said Craig Haskins, chief operating officer of Knight Barry Title. “I can tell how much customers love Sandy and her staff. Knight Barry is here to provide the support needed so she can keep doing great things and deliver her memorable customer experience to even more people in the Orlando area.”

Bill Jacobson, a real estate attorney and owner of Home Title America, is excited about the added resources his team will be able to offer customers as part of Knight Barry Title. Jacobson pointed specifically to the technology, commercial expertise and the remote online notarization options that can be offered.

“I am excited about doing the deal and fully committed to help KBT grow in the area,” he said. “It’s just the right situation at the right time for a move like this.”

Jacobson will continue to operate his law firm, which he opened in 1976.

“Bill is a respected expert and leader in the community, and we’re excited to have him and the rest of his team working alongside the other KBT professionals in the area. We have only scratched the surface of our potential in and around Palm Beach County,” Haskins said. “The future is bright there and all around the state.”

Knight Barry Title also has offices in Minnesota, Texas and Michigan.
