Stewart Names New Head of National Commercial Services

April 13, 2023

Stewart Information Services Corp. promoted Erin Sheckler to the role of head of national commercial services.

Sheckler has been with Stewart for three years as senior division president for the Pacific Northwest, responsible for managing and overseeing the direct operations strategy and growth in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. Prior to joining Stewart, Sheckler was senior vice president of national commercial services for WFG National Title Insurance Co.

She reports up through Steve Lessack, Stewart’s group president.

“Before Erin came to us, she was integral to the growth and development of commercial services and underwriting in her previous roles,” Lessack said. “As our national commercial presence continues to see steady growth post-pandemic, it requires a leader with strategic and mindful direction. Erin’s focus will be building our commercial brand in strong markets while strengthening our underwriting capacity and expanding into markets where we’ve previously been underrepresented.”

Stewart CEO Fred Eppinger added, “I am thrilled to have a leader of Erin’s caliber and quality taking National Commercial Services to the next level. We are confident that having Erin lead our strong, highly skilled Commercial team will allow us to grow our Commercial segment and gain share in attractive markets.
