June 28, 2011

ALTA announced the promotion of Deirdre Green to Education and Research Coordinator.

In this role, Green will be responsible for day-to-day operations and customer service for ALTA’s Land Title Institute (LTI), which provides education, training and team-building experiences for professionals in the title insurance industry. She also will manage approval of continuing education and continuing legal education credits for various presentations provided through LTI, and coordinate the Call for Presentations (CFP) process for professional development sessions during ALTA’s major meetings.

“It’s imperative our members stay abreast of the regulatory and legislative changes taking place so they remain compliant, and providing relevant and useful information to our members is a key priority for ALTA,” Green said. “Whether it’s providing guidance on legal changes or information to improve business operations, ALTA is the resource for industry knowledge.”

Previously serving as in intern for the association’s membership department, she was hired as an administrative assistant for ALTA in August 2009.

“Deirdre has proven to understand the needs of ALTA members and will be focused on enhancing ALTA’s various education offerings,” said Kurt Pfotenhauer, Chief Executive Officer for ALTA. “We are confident the educational needs of our members will continue to be met and exceeded with high standards.”

Green, from West Hartford, Conn., obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Boston College.
